Traditional Spanakopita

Spanakopita (Greek spinach pie), is a traditional vegetarian Greek dish known and loved around the world. A very versatile and delicious dish suitable for any time of the day, as a main dish, starter, snack or even breakfast! Feta cheese is crumbled and mixed with spinach, ricotta, eggs, leek, onion, cheese and nutmeg  into a mixture and then wrapped or layered in filo pastry, brushed with melted butter topped with sesame seeds and baked until golden and crispy perfection.. Simply delicious!
